The Fire and Rescue Services (NI) Order came into operation in late 2009 ,replacing and updating existing legislation covering fire safety.Fire certification will cease and each business must have in place a suitable and sufficient risk assessment carried out by a competent and knowledgeable person.Enforcement will be via the NI Fire & Rescue Service.
